Riding the momentum of our very popular CD Recording, “The Ethnic Strains of the Singing Slovenes”, and because of requests from around the country, we have decided to follow up with, “Heavenly Strains of the Singing Slovenes”. We feel very passionate about our rendition of the Polka Mass and want to share this experience with as many people as possible wherever they may be.
We have dedicated a special selection to the memory of Dolores McGovern, a very faithful follower and fan of ours. “Lord, We bring you these Gifts”, is taken from the Croatian melody, “Lubav je Ruza”, and the liturgical lyrics were written by her son, Seann McGovern.
Special gratitude is owed to Father George Balasko, who originated the Polka Mass, and Father Frank Perkovich, who took the Polka Mass to another level, right to the Pope. The acceptance of the Polka Mass by Pope John Paul II has led to the celebration of the Polka Mass on both sides of the Atlantic. We continue the tradition which has brought a refreshing and uplifting celebration of the Liturgical Mass in the form of a Polka Mass. We are sure you will enjoy “Heavenly Strains”.
Please enjoy Cescena Si Marija from the "Heavenly Strains".
